Simplicity is the key, and space and light are privileged in this charming hotel.

You have a feeling of hight as soon as you enter the hotel: a few steps and a terrace that overlooks the village and carries the eye to the surrounding countryside, you then enter into an immense lounge separated from the restaurant dining room by a monumental iron sculpture. Raw ochre, this oxidised steel sets the tone, the place has character, that of its owners who know following the example of this work and also the village that refinement is embellished by an once of rawness.

Michel Truchon learnt to cook in his mother's auberge, once he was ready he left Sauveterre to travel the country searching new experiences and ideas. And it was only in 1986 that he came back to the village full-time and opened his hotel-restaurant which until then had been seasonal.
