Roseraie de Sauveterre de Rouergue, Sauveterre-de-Rouergue
The bastide's former cemetery adorn itself with the roses' colours...
Abandoned at the end of 19th century, the former cemetery became a rose garden in 2010 on the initiative of painter Barthélemy de Josy Mai-Andrieu's, with the help of the villagers and the district of Sauveterre-de-Rouergue.
Climbing roses, rosebushes… Around 140 plants were planted. They added bucolic charm to this place where you can see a cross, a stela and sarcophagus, stone elements that remember us the former use of the site.
Carry your visit on thanks to the tourist map.
