Visitez Tizac, Le Bas-Ségala
From its 460 meters high panorama, Tayrac overlooks the Serène ! This village may have originated from the gallo-roman agricultural era.
The first church (the actual one was built at the beginning of XXth century) seems to have been the starting point of this small ecclesiastical village, alongside the priory which depended of the Chaise Dieu. A stone cross is still standing from that period.
Particular spots to see in the village: the restored bread oven and the war memorial built with beautiful bas-reliefs. Nearby, you'll discover the picturesque “Moulin des Tempes”. It is a mill built on the Serène river which takes us back to the activities that kept the village alive. The Montramech village also offers a great point of view from where we can see 21 bells towers.
